Sreyamsa Bairiganjan is the CEO of Energiva Ventures, a global strategic finance and sustainable development firm that develops financing solutions, investment platforms and strategic partnerships to advance sustainable growth across the Global South.
Previously, as a Senior Energy Expert at the World Bank, he led flagship energy and development finance programmes, including an investment portfolio in Bangladesh, a solar, battery storage and grid modernisation programme in the Maldives, and a guarantee programme supporting Sri Lanka’s recovery from its financial crisis. He received the World Bank President’s Award and multiple Above and Beyond Awards.
Earlier, at the World Resources Institute, he developed clean energy investment pipelines across six regions, helping mobilise over USD 377 million globally, before joining Arc Finance in New York, where he structured blended finance solutions. He has spoken at the G20, the World Bank Annual Meetings, TEDx and Rio+20, and authored several publications on energy and climate finance.
An avid reader, he is continually seeking out new places and experiences. He shares his life journey with his best friend from his batch (Shweta), now his spouse, with whom he has a 12-year-old adventure enthusiast. Together, they cherish exploring the world and new experiences.
